HOW DO YOU MAKE amazing CRISPY CHICKEN SANDWICHES?

Prepare the marinade and combine the sour cream, milk, hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cornstarch, salt, and lemon juice. Whisk the ingredients together.

Chicken Tender Marinade

Add the chicken breasts (cutlets) into a zip-lock back and pour the marinade over the chicken. Marinade for at least one hour.

Chicken Marinade

Prepare the crispy breadcrumb mixture. Combine the panko, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Add in the Cayenne if you like them spicey.

Heat your cooking oil in a frying pan and remove the chicken from the marinade and roll it into the breadcrumb mixture.

Fry on each side until they are golden brown with an internal temperature of at least 165 degrees F. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the proper internal temperature has been reached. Drain them on a wire rack to remove any access oil and to keep the chicken crispy.

Let’s talk side dishes!  Sometimes my favorite part of the meal is the sidedishes but, here the Amazing Crispy Chicken Sandwiches really shines the most!  One of my favorite things to serve with this is french fries!  But we have a great recipe for Easy Crispy Smashed Potatoes if you have difficult children these are always a winner. And finally, if you want to keep things low carb, then add a green side salad, with your favorite chopped-up vegetables and dressing. 

HOW DO YOU STORE AND REHEAT LEFTOVERS?

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

To reheat set your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, place the sandwich on a wire rack over a baking sheet and cook for about 10 minutes. Keep an eye on the chicken breast as it reheats to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Also reheating in the air fryer is another good option. Heat at 350 degrees for 5 minutes.

SPICY MAYO SAUCE

Mix 1/2 cup of mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon hot sauce,1 teaspoon paprika, and 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. This sauce is delicious and compliments the crispy chicken sandwich.

  • 3 Chicken Breasts (cut into cutlets)

Chicken Marinade

  • 3 tbsp Sour Cream
