- 2 Pounds Raw Shrimp
- 1 Pound Mushrooms
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 4 Tbsp Butter
Ingredients to Make the Sauce:
- ½ Cup Dry White Wine or Chicken Broth
- 5 Cloves Garlic minced
- 2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- ½ Cup Parmesan Cheese shredded
- 4 Cups Baby Spinach
- 2 Tbsp Basil fresh (chopped) or 1 Tsp Dried Basil
Prepare the Shrimp and Mushrooms:
Begin by melting the butter in a large skillet and add the mushrooms. Cook the mushrooms until they begin to brown and all the moisture is released. Remove the mushrooms from the pan and set aside.
To the same pan saute the raw shrimp just until they turn pink and remove from the pan. Set them aside and begin preparing the cream sauce.
Prepare the Sauce:
Sauté Garlic: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic. Sauté it for about 30 seconds, or until it becomes fragrant. Be careful not to let it burn.
Deglaze with White Wine: Pour in the dry white wine and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any flavorful browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Let it simmer for about 2 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate and the flavors to meld
