Ingredients

  • 6 Pork Chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour (flour to dredge)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion (thinly sliced)
  • 8 oz Mushrooms (sliced) (optional ingredient)
  • 1 Tsp Garlic (minced)(4 cloves)
  • 1 cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme (fresh or dried)
  • Chopped Parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Season the pork chops with salt and pepper, then dredge them in flour, shaking off excess.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the pork chops on both sides and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add sliced onions and mushrooms. Sauté until softened.
  • Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom to deglaze the pan.
  • Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and thyme. Bring to a simmer.
  • Return the pork chops to the skillet, cover, and simmer until the pork is cooked through.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
