Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 4 Tbsp Flour
  • 2 1/2 Cups Whole Milk
  • 6 Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 Cup Parmesan Cheese (shredded)
  • Salt and Black Ground Pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat.
  • Make the Roux: Add 4 tablespoons of flour to the melted butter. Whisk continuously for about 2 minutes until the mixture becomes a smooth paste and starts to bubble.
  • Add Milk: Gradually pour in 2 1/2 cups of whole milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming. Continue to whisk until the mixture is smooth and begins to thicken.
  • Add Garlic and Parmesan: Reduce the heat to low. Stir in the minced garlic and 1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese. Continue to stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy.
  • Season: Remove the sauce from the heat. Do not let it boil to avoid curdling. Taste and season with salt and black pepper to your preference.
  • Cool and Use: Let the sauce cool slightly before using it on your pizza. Spread it evenly over your pizza dough and add your favorite toppings.
