Ingredients for Sweet Potato Filling:
- 3 Pounds Sweet Potatoes
- ½ Cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Stick Butter (softened)
- ½ Cup Milk
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1 Tsp Vanilla
- ½ Tsp Salt

- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- ½ Cup Flour
- 1 Cup Pecan (chopped)
- 1 Stick Butter (melted)
- Pinch of Cinnamon
How to Prepare the Sweet Potato Casserole Filling: Preheat oven to 400°F. Wrap sweet potatoes in foil and roast for about 1 hour, until tender. Peel the sweet potatoes and place them in a food processor or blender. Add eggs, brown sugar, melted butter, milk, vanilla, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy. Spread the filling evenly into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
How to Prepare the Pecan Streusel Topping: In a medium bowl, combine chopped pecans, flour, and brown sugar. Stir in melted butter until the mixture is moistened and forms clumps. Sprinkle the topping evenly over the sweet potato filling.
Putting It All Together and Baking: Make sure the oven is preheated to 400°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick cooking spray. Spread the sweet potato mixture evenly in the dish. Add the pecan streusel topping. Optional: dot with whole pecans for texture.
Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and slightly puffed.
