Lemon Garlic Shrimp Pasta
Using fresh raw shrimp that is cooked in a buttery lemon garlic sauce and then tossed in fresh parmesan cheese and pasta. - 3 Tbps Butter
- 3 Tbps Olive Oil
- 3 Tsp Garlic (6 cloves minced)
- 1-2 lbs. Shrimp (raw and deveined)
- 1/2 Tsp Red pepper flakes
- 1/2 Cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 8 oz Angel Hair Pasta (boiled and drained)
- 1 Whole Lemon Juiced
- 1 Whole Lemon Zested
- 1 Cup Pasta Water (reserved from cooking the pasta)
- Salt and Pepper (to taste)
- 3 Tbsp Fresh Parsley (chopped)
In a large pot cook the pasta in boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside. In a large Dutch oven heat 3 tbsp olive oil and 3 tbsp of butter. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes and cook until fragrant for about one minute.
Add the shrimp, salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the shrimp start to turn pink.
Toss the pasta into the pot with the add additional butter (if you think its needed), parmesan, and fresh parsley.
Add the lemon juice, zest and toss more before serving. Add some pasta water if it the pasta looks dry. The texture should be moist.
Make sure you taste test to ensure the seasoning is just right add more salt and pepper if necessary.
Serve immediately. Enjoy
