Ingredients

  • 2 (18 oz) boxes Double Chocolate Brownie Mix (Aldi brand Specialty Select)
  • 2 Sticks Unsalted Butter
  • ½ cup Whole Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1 tablespoon Instant Coffee Granules
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips/Chunks option ingredient- for topping

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Melt the Butter and Coffee Granules: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt 2 sticks of unsalted butter until fully melted. Stir in 1 tablespoon of instant coffee granules until dissolved. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together 2 eggs, 1 egg yolk, and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Add ½ cup of whole milk and the melted butter mixture, stirring until combined.
  • Add the Brownie Mix: Gradually add the contents of 2 (18 oz) boxes of Double Chocolate Brownie Mix to the wet ingredients. Stir until no dry pockets remain, but avoid overmixing.
  • Add Chocolate Chips (Optional): If using, sprinkle on top ½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips or chunks for extra chocolatey goodness.
  • Bake the Brownies: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Cool and Serve: Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 20-30 minutes before slicing. Enjoy warm, or let them cool completely for cleaner cuts.
