This Cheesy Tortellini Pasta Skillet recipe is one of our favorite one-pot meals. Savory ground beef, creamy melted cheese, fragrant garlic, onions, and tomatoes all come together in a one-skillet meal that is sure to please everyone in the family.

TORTELLINI

INGREDIENTS

  • Cheese Tortellini
  • Ground Beef
  • Canned Diced Tomatoes
  • Canned Tomato Sauce
  • Garlic Powder
  • Onion Powder
  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese

HOW TO PREPARE CHEESY TORTELLINI PASTA SKILLET?

Fill a medium saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook to the pack specification. Drain the pasta and set aside. We will add this to ground beef later.

Brown the ground beef in a large skillet.

Add garlic powder and onion powder.

Add the canned tomato sauce, canned diced tomatoes, and tortellini to the skillet and combine well. Reduce the heat to low, bring to a simmer, partially cover the skillet, and continue to cook for 5 minutes.

Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly, let it melt, and combine well. Taste for seasoning add additional salt and pepper if necessary. Serve immediately.

HOW TO STORE, REHEAT, AND FREEZE LEFTOVERS?

Storage – Place leftovers in an airtight container and keep them in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days. 

Freezing – You can freeze this dish, place the leftovers in a zip-lock freezer bag and store them in the freezer for up to three months.

Reheating – Thaw first if frozen in the refrigerator overnight. Reheat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until hot.

  • 16 oz Cheese Tortellini Package Frozen
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes
  • 6 oz Tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Onion powder
  • 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese Shredded
