HOW TO MAKE GARLIC PARMESAN BRUSSELS SPROUTS?

Roast the Brussels sprouts until they are crispy and tender to perfection with these simple steps:

  1. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Remove the outer leaves, trim the stems, and slice them in half before setting them aside.
  2. Prepare the Bacon: Fry the bacon. Once the bacon is crisp chop it into small pieces.
  3. Create the Parmesan Coating: In a large baking dish add the butter, cheese, and spices. Mix until the ingredients are well combined, coating the bottom of the pan evenly.
  4. Arrange: Place the veggies cut side down in a single layer in the baking dish. Brush extra butter/olive oil/bacon grease on top and seasonings, bacon bits, extra salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  5. Bake” Place the dish in the oven until the veggies are crisp on the outside and slightly charred around the edges but tender in the center.

WHAT DO YOU SERVE WITH BRUSSELS SPROUTS?

Let’s talk about the main dishes!  One of my favorite things to serve with Brussels sprouts is our recipe for Honey Glazed Parmesan Chicken!  We also have a great recipe for Pecan Crusted Dijon Baked Salmon. If you want to get in veggies, then this is great with a green side salad, fill it with your favorite chopped-up vegetables and dressing.

CAN THIS BE PREPARED AHEAD OF TIME?

Yes, for a quick meal, prepare your sprouts a day in advance, and keep them covered in the fridge. Then, just pop them in the oven when you’re ready to cook.

HOW LONG CAN LEFTOVERS BE STORED?

Once cooled, Garlic Parmesan Parmesan Brussel Sprouts can be transferred to an airtight container and stored in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. It’s not recommended to freeze this recipe because the Brussels sprouts can become soggy when thawed.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO REHEAT LEFTOVERS?

Garlic Parmesan Brussels Sprouts are best served while they are still warm and crisp. However, if you do have leftovers, we highly recommend reheating them in the oven to prevent them from becoming mushy. Preheat the oven to 350° Fahrenheit, and warm your sprouts for about 10 minutes or until they’re heated through. Or you can put them in the air fryer for 5-10 minutes at 350 degrees F. until they begin to crisp up again.
